Shane Sirett joined LSV Borrello Lawyers as Special Counsel in May 2016, adding depth to the Litigation & Dispute Resolution and Commercial Law teams and establishing the Insurance Practice for the firm. He has extensive experience having previously worked for leading National and West Australian firms. Mr Sirett also spent 4 years in independent practice working as a barrister. His practice is focused in the area of insurance and commercial litigation with specific experience in the areas of insurance related claims (professional indemnity, treatment liability, general liability and industrial diseases), occupational health and safety and commercial litigation. Mr Sirett has been practising in insurance litigation for almost 30 years, in a wide variety of matters and covering the complete range of work required for each kind of matter. He has acted for FAI Insurance, Suncorp (including Vero), QBE, CGU, Ace Insurance, Chubb Insurance, Dual (Australasia), AIG, Caliden and the Medical Protection Society, as well as self-insureds BHP Billiton, St John of God Healthcare, and the Western Australian government insurer Riskcover.
