Scott is a former member of the Australian Special Air Services (SAS) Regiment, and has served in senior military and corporate role across a diversity of international environments.

He developed specialist knowledge in the mining and resources industry through a senior role within Rio Tinto.

In 2008, Mr Houston founded Executive Risk Solutions which grew at a rapid rate to become the overall winner of the 2014 Business News Rising Stars Awards. In 2017 he co-founded Accurate STP, a diversified business with services including labour hire, traffic management and security.
