Sara Prendergast is a senior finance professional with over 15 years of mining site experience in Western Australia, Queensland and South Australia across nickel, gold, copper, uranium and zinc.
Ms Prendergast has been with St Barbara since October 2020 as the global head of finance & procurement before becoming chief financial officer in September 2023.
Ms Prendergast holds a Bachelor of Business (double degree in Applied Economics & Marketing) and Master of Business (Accounting), is pursuing a Masters of Science (Mineral and Energy Economics), and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. She has been a member of CPA Australia for over 15 years, and an accredited Certified Practising Accountant for 10 years.
Ms Prendergast was named an Exceptional Women in Mining by the MCA in 2017, and the Top 100 Global Inspirational Women in Mining by the UK Women in Mining in 2018.
