Sandra Bellekom is both a graduate of Murdoch and Curtin Universities. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Post Graduate qualification in Audiology.
Ms Bellekom has practiced as an Audiologist for over 17 years. Working in a variety of settings including hospitals, device manufacturing, private and public organizations, her career has seen her work in a number of countries including across Australia, and in Singapore, New Zealand and the United States.
With a special interest in tinnitus, Ms Bellekom engineered a national longitudinal study with the Department of Veterans’ Affairs. She has also co-authored a study published in the Annals of Otology Rhinology and Laryngology.
Ms Bellekom has Clinical experience in aural rehabilitation, tinnitus treatment, paediatrics and Aboriginal ear health.
She was appointed as AAMRI WA chair in 2025
