Samuel Ekins has over 15 years of experience as an economic geologist. He has extensive experience in technical and leadership roles having worked in Australia and Southeast Asia in greenfields and brownfields gold and base-metal exploration, as well as global upstream oil and gas consulting.
Mr Ekins entered the junior mining sector in 2019 as exploration manager of Prodigy Gold NL, exploring the Proterozoic Tanami and Aileron Provinces of the Northern Territory. He was a senior geologist of Gold Fields’s St Ives Mine in Kambalda before joining Evolution Mining as superintendent of exploration at the Mungari Operations in Kalgoorlie, which included Evolutions’ Leadership Gold Programme.
Mr Ekins holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Geology from the University of Tasmania Center for Ore Deposit and Earth Sciences. He also holds a Masters in Mining Engineering specialising in Geomechanics from the University of New South Wales.
