Samuel Bowles has extensive technical, operational and executive experience within the coal industry. This experience has been gained in Australia and Mongolia, across both underground & open pit coal mining, and the processing, transportation, and sales of thermal & coking coals.
Mr Bowles is a long-term resident of Mongolia and is passionate about implementing sustainable mining practices, with a goal to provide benefits from mining to the wider community. He was chief operating officer of Mongolian Mining Corporation, and Mongolia business unit head at TerraCom. Mr Bowles joined Aspire Mining in March 2020 as chief operating officer before becoming chief executive in May 2023, as the company focuses on its wholly-owned Ovoot Coking Coal Project in Mongolia.
Mr Bowles holds a Bachelors degree in Mining Engineering from the University of New South Wales.
