Kalium awards $60m of Beyondie contracts
Kalium Lakes has awarded four contracts related to purification plant facilities for its Beyondie sulphate of potash project, with DRA and FIRM Construction among the winners.
Philippus Rudolph van Niekerk is a professional in the mining and resources industry with more than 12 years of experience in project and business management.
Previous positions included senior engineering roles for Ausenco, Anglo Gold Ashanti and BC Iron. He also held a range of different roles in the management of projects and operations.
Various responsibilities have included financial evaluation, risk review and management, project management, development of capital and operating cost estimates, budget development and cost control, design management, planning, reporting, contract administration, quality control, expediting, construction, commissioning, production ramp-up and project handover to operations.

Kalium Lakes has awarded Toll Group a key haulage contract to move product from its Beyondie sulphate of potash project south-east of Newman to port facilities at either Fremantle or Kwinana.
Kalium Lakes has awarded Shell Energy the gas supply contract, and APA Group the gas transport contract, for its Beyondie sulphate of potash project.
Malaga-based Jaylon Environmental Systems has secured a $15 million contract to supply and install evaporation pond liners for Kalium Lakes’ Beyondie sulphate of potash project.
