Rowan Stokes is a chartered structural engineer with over 21 years of local, interstate and international experience. He has been a company director of Wood & Grieve Engineers (WGE) since 2010 and has managed the Perth structural section since 2005. Mr Stokes was made a principal of WGE in 2004 following his establishment of the WGE Melbourne Structural section in 2003. Prior to this, he spent two years working for a consultancy in Dublin and operated a project engineer within our Perth and Albany offices. He has been at WGE since 1996 and has been a part of the firm’s growth from 50 to 500 people. Mr Stokes has extensive experience in structural engineering and construction across a broad range of areas including education, low and high rise residential, commercial, industrial, institutional and public facility. He also has a forensic engineering, expert witness and heritage focus. As a registered builder, Mr Stokes is a particularly practical structural engineer and clear communicator. Despite his wider corporate responsibilities, he retains his passion and enthusiasm for hands-on engineering. He is still actively engaged in personally leading a wide range of projects.
