Roger Cressey has over 35 years of experience within the resource industries, predominantly in gas exploration & production and in minerals processing and materials handling. He has held chief executive, chief operating officer and other executive roles on upstream and downstream operations across Australia, PNG, Indonesia and Uganda.
Mr Cressey joined Armour Energy in November 2011 as general manager of infrastructure and project development before becoming chief operating officer in 2014, acting chief executive from September 2016, and chief executive from September 2017 to July 2019. He was involved with operations management of its petroleum exploration activities and the management of the Kincora Project restart. His management responsibilities have involved corporate and operational functions as well as Native Title negotiations, Government and stakeholder liaison, contracts management for drilling, seismic surveys and other service providers. Prior to Armour Energy, Mr Cressy had worked on major projects for Chevron, Santos, Caltex, and Origin.
