Greenland Minerals jumps on Chinese MOU

Greenland Minerals and Energy has taken a solid step towards development at its Kvanefjeld rare earths project in Greenland, signing an agreement with a Chinese state-owned group to cooperate in feasibility studies and apply for a mining licence.

White Cliff land sale sharpens rare earths, lithium focus

White Cliff Minerals will intensify its focus on its rare earths and lithium portfolio after selling Abraxis Mining ¬– including three Pilbara lithium tenements – to Gold Geological Consulting for $200,000. The company says the transaction is part of an ongoing portfolio review that is expected to lead to further divestments of non-core projects as it builds on its significant Western Australian rare earths and lithium holdings.

The Nunuvut Planning Commission has given White Cliff Minerals the go-ahead to kick off exploration at its Coppermine project in Canada, where it will follow up on high-grade historical copper results. The company says it marks a major step in the permitting process and allows it to appoint contractors for this year’s exploration initiatives in the Canadian province of Nunavut.

White Cliff Minerals has contracted Expert Geophysics to complete an airborne geophysical survey over its entire Coppermine project in the Canadian province of Nunavut as soon as next quarter. The company says the campaign will use mobile magnetotellurics to image subsurface resistivity and it is expected to highlight and define structural trends to optimise future drill targets.

A recent share price hike for White Cliff Minerals has triggered a cash bonanza for the company after it today confirmed $4.33 million worth of options had been exercised on the back of its rally from recent lows. Touching as low as 0.9c to start the new year of trading, the share price rose to as high as 1.9c after it grabbed new Canadian ground.

White Cliff pulls new targets out of old Canadian data

White Cliff Minerals’ review of historic datasets for its Radium Point project in Canada has highlighted multiple high-grade uranium-copper-gold-silver targets including 14.15 per cent uranium oxide. The project forms the northern half of the approximately 2,900 sq km licence area held by the company which says results exceed its expectations and that the targets will be assessed in the upcoming 2024 field program.
