Dr Rochelle Macdonald has over two decades of experience in the ports and marine industries across regional Australia; and has held roles in engineering, development, strategy, and project delivery.
Dr Macdonald became chief executive of Sea Swift, Northern Australia’s largest shipping company, in May 2021. Prior to that, she spent nearly three years as chief executive of Mid West Ports Authority in Geraldton, and held senior management positions at North Queensland Bulk Ports and the Dampier Port Authority (now known as Pilbara Ports Authority).
Dr Macdonald holds a Bachelor of Science with honours (First Class) from the University of Tasmania, a Master of Engineering Management from the University of Technology Sydney, a PhD in Public Health from Curtin University, and the Program of Leadership Development at Harvard Business School.
