Rochelle Fleming

Rochelle Fleming has a deep background in technology and cybersecurity.

Ms Fleming was appointed chief executive of Sapien Cyber, Australia’s only sovereign operational technology cyber security firm, after acting in the role for six months. She was previously Sapien Cyber’s chief operating officer. Ms Fleming joined the Perth-based company in 2018 as a business strategy and planning manager, and was promoted to chief operating officer in April 2020 before being formally appointed as chief executive in August 2022.

Prior to joining Sapien Cyber, Ms Fleming spent seven years working at Edith Cowan University's Security Research Institute, and was company secretary for the Australian Cyber Security Research Institute. She had also worked across government sectors including the WA Department of the Premier and Cabinet, Office of Science.

Ms Fleming holds a double degree specialising in Science and Business from Curtin University, and is pursuing a Masters in Cyber Security at Edith Cowan University.
