Robert Knowles

Non-Executive Director / Global Health

Robert Knowles AO holds commercial directorships at Global Health, Drinkwise Australia, Silver Chain Group and IPG. He was a member of the Victorian Parliament from 1976-99 and had responsibility for a number of portfolios, including Minister for Health from 1996-99 and Minister for Aged Care from 1996-99.

Mr Knowles is also Chair of the Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne; Commissioner of the National Mental Health Commission and Chair of the Victorian Health Reform and Innovation Council.

In 2007, Mr Knowles was awarded an Officer of the Order of Australia for service to the community through a range of aged care, mental health, research and cultural activities and his work in the Victorian government.
