Mr Harvey began his career as an engineer in the then Water Authority, specialising in resource management, planning and policy.

Former CSIRO energy group executive Dr Tom Hatton has been appointed to the board of the Environmental Protection Authority, along with Elizabeth Carr, who has been reappointed as deputy administrator.
Tom Hatton has been named the next chair of the WA Environmental Protection Authority, succeeding Paul Vogel who announced his retirement last week.
