Rob McDonald

Rob McDonald is the principal of The Minera Group, a specialist mining advisory and investment group headquartered in Australia and active in most mining regions of the world. Minera assists a select number of mining companies and mining investment and finance institutions in developing and executing business plans in the sector.

He is also a principal of private equity groups engaged in various aspects of the international mining industry.

Mr McDonald has over 40 years of experience in the mining sector, firstly in various roles within the Rio Tinto group and prior to launching Minera and his private equity initiatives in investment banking, as a principal of Resource Finance Corporation and as managing director of N M Rothschild & Sons.
