Pilbara conglomerate gold theorist, Novo Resources, has generated encouraging gold recoveries of up to nearly 90% from ore sorting trials at its Comet Well project located near Karratha in WA. The trials produced ore grades up to 792.4g/t in sorted gold concentrates and additional work will now be undertaken at smaller crush sizes and on oxidised ore samples to optimise gold recoveries even further.

Novo Resources has completed successful gold processing trials using innovative ore sorting technology at its emerging Egina gold project near Port Hedland in the Pilbara region of WA. The company used a combination of physical and mechanical dry ore sorting and processing techniques to separate coarse gold nuggets from waste materials in test work completed in Germany.

Ore sorting could be the panacea for nuggety conglomerate gold projects that are notoriously hard to develop after Novo Resources reported very positive gold recovery numbers from its Egina conglomerate gold project in the Pilbara. Novo is rapidly gaining credibility as a conglomerate specialist as it looks to add this new ore sorting technology to its suite of tools to effectively process its various styles of conglomerate mineralisation.

Novo Resources is upbeat about the latest mechanical ore sorting test results at its Beaton’s Creek conglomerate gold project in WA’s Pilbara region. The crushing and screening tests on one bulk sample have delivered a calculated head grade of 5.72 grams per tonne gold, according to the company. Three size fractions were tested and an impressive 90.2% of gold was recovered in 54.5% of the mass of the +18/-50mm fraction.

Novo Resources has achieved some outstanding gold recovery rates on the latest set of mechanical ore sorting tests for multi-tonne bulk samples of crushed ore from its Egina and Beatons Creek gold deposits in the Pilbara. Tests done at laboratories in Sydney and Germany have recovered between 92 and 100 per cent of gold in three size fractions from the Egina sample and the Beatons Creek fractions returned between 82 and 94 per cent of the gold.

TSX-listed conglomerate gold explorer, Novo Resources, has inked an important heritage agreement with the Yindjibarndi Aboriginal Corporation that covers a total of 1,492 square kilometres of country across a substantial portion of the company’s Pilbara gold exploration play. The agreement facilitates and potentially expedites the process of exploration.

Novo Resources continues to demonstrate the developing potential of its Pilbara conglomerate gold hosted Egina and Beatons Creek deposits with ongoing high-tech mechanical test work squeezing out more and more fine gold from the ancient rocks. A small sub-sample of Egina concentrate was “seeded” to determine the effectiveness the German-based TOMRA mechanical ore sorting testing equipment and the company said that 120 out of 120 of the seeded nuggets were recovered.

Novo Resources has taken yet another step towards commercial gold production, revealing that it is in advanced discussions with process equipment supplier Steinert Australia to acquire a mechanical ore sorting unit to field test its conglomerate-gold ores in the Pilbara. The unit will be manufactured in Germany and is expected to be deployed into the Pilbara in the latter half of the 2020 field season.

Novo Resources has taken another significant step as it charges towards production in the Pilbara, this week appointing two well credentialed mining men to oversee the company’s transition from explorer to gold producer. The move follows hot on the heels of the company completing the acquisition of Millennium Minerals and its mothballed Golden Eagle mill at Nullagine in WA earlier this month.

Novo Resources has completed a battery of test work on the bulk samples from its Karratha gold project, successfully recovering fine nuggety gold from the conglomerate ores found at both the Purdy’s Reward and Comet Well deposits. The recovery of this size fraction, via mechanical sorting, significantly enhances the potential economics of the operation and validates the process flow sheet being designed for the developing operation.

TSX-V-listed aspiring Pilbara gold producer, Novo Resources, has unearthed a new gold-bearing conglomerate reef discovery at its developing Beatons Creek gold project adjacent to Nullagine in the East Pilbara following a mapping and surface rock chip sampling program. The Vancouver-based company says the Skyfall prospect is situated about 2km south-west of the existing 900,000-ounce Beatons Creek conglomerate-hosted gold resource.

Novo Resources is well on the way to pouring first gold in the March 2021 quarter from its rapidly developing Beatons Creek gold project adjacent to the town of Nullagine in WA’s East Pilbara. The company says the fast-tracked development of the Beatons Creek gold mine, including the refurbishment of the recently acquired Golden Eagle gold treatment plant, continues to progress on schedule and within budget.

Novo Resources is poised to join the growing ranks of WA’s gold producers having received its final approvals from the state government for the commencement of operations at its Golden Eagle plant south-east of Nullagine. Mining has already commenced at the nearby Beatons Creek deposits and with the commissioning of the operation now underway, the company is preparing for its much-anticipated maiden gold pour.

Toronto Stock Exchange-listed Novo Resources has poured first gold from its Beatons Creek conglomerate gold mine at Nullagine in WA’s East Pilbara region following a rapid-fire project development. The Vancouver-based C$615 market-capped company achieved the gold production milestone during the plant commissioning phase in less than six months after buying and refurbishing the nearby Golden Eagle mill.

Novo Resources has upped the ante at its Beatons Creek gold mine near Nullagine in WA’s Pilbara region, with the Nullagine operation pushing out more than 5,000 ounces of gold in May. Interestingly, over 60 per cent of the gold recovered in the plant comes via the nuggets and coarse gold captured in the gravity circuit from the company’s conglomerate ores.

Novo Resources continues to churn out record production numbers at its Nullagine gold operations in Western Australia’s Pilbara, posting a massive 46 per cent increase above the June result. Revenue also surged 50 per cent over the previous month with 8,589 ounces of gold pumped out from the mill generating $19.2 million revenue. During the month the company also appointed Michael Spreadborough as its new executive co-chairman.

Novo Resources looks set to commence phase two mechanical sorting trials on its Pilbara gold deposits. The company says its ore sorter will be installed adjacent to the Golden Eagle processing facility in Nullagine and it expects trials to commence early next month. Following testing, Novo will relocate the unit and has plans to commercialise some of its lower grade Pilbara conglomerate gold deposits courtesy of the ore sorter.

Toronto-listed conglomerate gold miner, Novo Resources has kicked off ‘Phase 2’ mechanical sorter trials of bulk samples taken from its Comet Well, Purdy’s Reward, Egina and Talga Talga gold projects in the Pilbara region of WA. The sorter and its infrastructure are designed for deployment at Novo’s array of projects to produce gold-bearing concentrates on site in a single pass for further upgrading or downstream processing.
