Robert (Rob) Cole is a corporate lawyer turned petroleum industry executive turned professional director.
Mr Cole is chair of two ASX-listed companies, energy utility Synergy, land information authority Landgate, and Perth Airport. He is also an advisor to the board of Power and Water Corporation in the Northern Territory on gas industry matters, and board member of homelessness charity St Bartholomew's House. Mr Cole was previously chair of private Perth-based company GLX Holdings and chair of the Southern Ports Authority for 3 years from 2016 to 2020.
In 2015, Mr Cole was managing director of Adelaide-based Beach Energy. Prior to that, he spent nine years with Woodside Petroleum, joining as general counsel in 2006 and rising to be executive director of corporate & commercial. Before joining Woodside, Mr Cole spent more than 21 years in corporate, energy and resources law, including three years as partner-in-charge of the Perth office of national law firm Mallesons.
