Anger mounts against liquor licence delays
Obtaining a small bar liquor licence has become increasingly complicated and prompted some players to abandon plans to open new venues.
Robert Bates-Smith has over 20 years of experience in International hospitality and retail master planning.
He sits on the committee of Historic Heart of Perth and assists in the Australian operations of not-for-profit Change Please, an initiative that uses the profits from a cup of coffee to train people experiencing homelessness to be baristas and give them a Living Wage paying job.
Mr Bates-Smith is also the owner and operator of the Wine Store in East Fremantle; and a founding partner of several successful food, beverage and retail ventures.
He holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Graduate Diploma in Oenology from Curtin University.
