Richard Sandover is an experienced litigator in commercial litigation and mediation with a focus on contract law, property development and planning law. He acts for clients in a range of commercial, property, contractual, statutory and construction related matters. Mr Sandover is an experienced negotiator and regularly acts for clients in negotiations and mediations with the private, local, State and Federal government sectors. He represents clients in the full range of courts and tribunals including Supreme & District Courts of Western Australia, Federal Court of Australia and the State Administrative Tribunal. Commencing in the late 1980s, Mr Sandover was a pioneer of commercial mediation for clients as an alternative to protracted and expensive litigation. His mediation and negotiation skills have been recognised by the Office of the Mediation Advisor (OMA), resulting in his appointment as a mediator under the Franchising Code, Oil Code and other codes. Building on 30 years of working with business and government, Mr Sandover has a broad experience and a wide network in Western Australian and Australian business circles. He joined Jackson McDonald in 1984 and was chair of partners from 2010-2020.
