Richard Menell

Richard Menell was appointed director of Gold Fields in October 2008 and was deputy chair in August 2015. He became non-executive director of Sibanye Gold in January 2013. Mr Menell has over 37 years’ experience in the mining industry including service as President of the Chamber of Mines of South Africa, president and chief executive of Teal Exploration & Mining, and as executive chair of Anglovaal Mining and Avgold. He is a director of Weir Group and Rockwell Diamonds, and senior adviser to Credit Suisse. Mr Menell also serves as director of several unlisted companies and non-profit organisations.
