Richard Farrell

Richard Farrell has been the senior legal and policy advisor to the Office of the Director General at the Department of Transport since April 2021.

Mr Farrell was a special advisor and chief of staff to the Minister for Transport, Planning, Lands. He was also the principal policy advisor to the Minister for Transport, and the chief of staff and principal policy officer to the Minister for Planning and Infrastructure (WA).

Mr Farrell has a Bachelor of Jurisprudence and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of WA. He was a judicial registrar at the Industrial Relations Court and the Federal Court of Australia, and a barrister at Francis Burt Chambers.
