Richard Court AC is a former Premier and Treasurer of Western Australia (1993 to 2001). Mr Court`s government led the LNG marketing push into new markets, the successful deregulation of the Western Australian gas markets and the successful privatisations of the SGIO, BankWest, AlintaGas, Westrail Freight and the Dampier to Bunbury Natural Gas pipeline.
Mr Court is the non-executive chair of Iron Ore Holdings, chair of RISC, Trustee of Channel 7 Telethon Trust, and member of The Perth Diocesan Trustees.
In 2003, Mr Court was appointed a Companion of the Order of Australia for his service to the Western Australian Parliament and to the community, particularly the Indigenous community, and in the areas of child health research and cultural heritage, and to economic development through negotiating major resource projects including the export of gas to China furthering the interests of the nation as a whole.
