Beresford pulls pin
Former Metasource managing director Richard Beresford has left his appointment just six months after the launch of the Woodside renewable and sustainable energy subsidiary.

Richard Beresford holds a BSc (Mechanical Engineering), MSc (Technology and Development), and is a member of FAIE and FAICD. He has over 30 years of experience in the international energy industry spanning research, technology commercialisation, strategic planning, operations, consultancy, business development, acquisitions, marketing and general management.
Mr Beresford spent 12 years with British Gas including 3 years in London managing a portfolio of downstream gas and power generation investments in Asia, and 4 years in Jakarta as country manager. He joined Woodside Petroleum in 1996 and became general manager, business development and then managing director of Metasource, Woodside's green energy subsidiary. Mr Beresford was head of gas strategy and development of CLP Power Hong Kong from January 2005 to March 2007. He was executive chair of ASX listed Green Rock Energy, a Perth-based energy explorer and developer from March 2012 until May 2015 and prior to that was managing director and non-executive director.
