Renee Young has worked as a planning practitioner for over 15 years.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Urban and Regional Planning from Curtin University, and is a Certified Practising Planner with the Planning Institute of Australia.
Working for leading specialist practices in New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria and Western Australia, Ms Young has developed particular expertise in land-use and statutory planning, urban infill and extractive industry projects. As associate director of Urbis, she manages world-class redevelopment projects and advises on project positioning, due diligence, approval strategies and development applications. She also liaises with private developers and public authorities, prepares submissions to amend planning schemes and legislation, and has facilitated several major redevelopment projects including the Brisbane Racing Club, CSIRO Indooroopilly and South City Square at Woolloongabba.
