The cost of fixing up the failed Ellendale diamond mine in the Kimberley has risen to $70 million after the state government awarded a major contract for rehabilitation earthworks.
Ray Gerrard is the former owner of Rally Revegetation, a multi award winning mine rehabilitation business operating for 30 years out of Kalgoorlie in WA. Mr Gerrard developed solutions for mine rehabilitation in WA with projects spanning from Lake Kepwari through to the Gold Fields and Pilbara. His former business, Rally Revegetation and Environmental, was sold to contractor Piacentini and Son in 2011.
