Novo Resources has compiled a mineralisation report for its Karratha gold project in the Pilbara region of WA and outlined future work programs that include comprehensive, bulk sampling of up to 100,000 tonnes across the region. The company will undertake innovative mechanical ore sorting and scanning techniques on the samples addressing the unique, coarse nuggety gold distribution of the Karratha deposits to more accurately predict gold grades.

Novo Resources has entered into a $43m farm-in and JV agreement with diversified Japanese trading company Sumitomo Corporation to accelerate development of its Egina gold project located near Port Hedland, WA. Novo Resources has acquired the joint venture interests of Artemis Resources to take control of 100 per cent of the Purdy’s Reward and 47K gold leases south of Karratha in WA’s East Pilbara. Novo Resources has unearthed an impressive total of three new broad areas of gold-bearing alluvial gravel swales, or shallow channels, at its flagship Egina conglomerate gold project in the Pilbara. The Paradise area, which is host to two of the newly discovered gold-bearing areas, is about 14 kilometres north-northeast of Novo’s Egina mining lease. Another new discovery, known as Clarke, is just 10 kilometres northwest of Egina.

The company has now secured a deal with Intertek Testing Services (Australia) Pty Ltd that will see the latter provide on-site laboratory and sample preparation services and PhotonAssay services. The new targets have been etched out of the northern sector of Novo’s 100 per cent owned Egina project in the West Australian Pilbara Craton. They were identified through a detailed aeromagnetic interpretation in conjunction with extensive soil sampling.

Toronto-listed gold miner and explorer Novo Resources has unveiled a series of “high-order” soil sampling assay results from exploration work completed late last year at its Nunyerry North gold prospect in the West Pilbara region of WA. According to the company the work has advanced its understanding of the region’s prospectivity ahead of additional sampling and drill testing.
