Phil Thick is a civil engineer (UWA) and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Post-university, he worked for five years at Alcoa Australia's Kwinana Refinery. This was followed by a 20-year career with Shell including postings all around Australia and overseas, and he was appointed to the board of Shell Australia from 2004 to 2006. He was the managing director of New Standard Energy before joining Tianqi Lithium Australia as general manager.
