Mr Ireland joined Carbon Neutral as chief executive in 2023. Prior to that move, he was co-founder and CEO of Hone Carbon, a climate-focused tech startup. He is a former director of GetUp and the Global Campaign for Climate Action, as well as working in roles at organisations such as Purpose, Oxfam Australia, and United Voice NSW.
