Mr Rundle is a Katanning cropping and sheep farmer and businessman.
Following the 2021 WA state elections, Mr Rundle became the Shadow Minister for education and training, sport and recreation, racing and gaming. He was elected deputy leader of the Nationals WA in late January 2023 following the resignation of its leader Mia Davies and the succession of Shane Love to the top job. The National-Liberal Alliance was formed in February 2023 and Mr Rundle became the Shadow Minister for education, training, international education, sport & recreation, racing & gaming, and manager of opposition business.
