Peter Gammell was the managing director of Sydney-based Seven Group Holdings, a non-executive director of Perth-based Seven West Media from 2008 to 2019, and managing director of Kerry Stokes' private holding company Australian Capital Equity from 1988 to 2013.
He was also chair of national equipment hire company Coates Hire for over 6 years. Prior to the formation of Seven West Media, Mr Gammell was a director of Seven Network for 14 years.
Mr Gammell is a former director of Federal Capital Press, the publisher of the Canberra Times. He is also a former director of the Community Newspaper Group.
Earlier in Scotland, Mr Gammell, who is an accountant, was a director of Castle Cairn (Financial Services), Cairn Energy Management and Cairn Energy. He was also chair of former Bank of Scotland subsidiary Scottish Pacific Business Finance Holdings until its sale to St George Bank.
Mr Gammell owns a small winery near Margaret River.
