Peter Blackburn

Peter Blackburn is the founder and managing director of Global Civil and Mining. He created the company in 2006 by identifying opportunities for road profilers in the mining industry and by mining salt and limestone with road profilers before operating Fortescue Metals Group’s first surface mining trials. Mr Blackburn subsequently brought the first Wirtgen 2500 into Australia and has since grown the company to a fleet of over 15 machines. Prior to that, he managed a road profiling business for over 10 years before creating his own road profiling business in 2004, now under the ownership of WA Profiling and Stabilising.
