Paul Wilson is a partner in HWL Ebsworth's property practice in Perth, with particular emphasis on the commercial property and retirement living sectors.
He has extensive commercial property experience with significant expertise in major acquisitions and disposals, commercial leasing, property development and infrastructure projects. Mr Wilson has more than 23 years’ experience acting for major national private sector clients as well as government agencies. His retirement living practice involves preparing residence contracts and undertaking retirement village sale and purchase transactions. He also advises major institutions on the provisions of the Retirement Villages Act including the comprehensive amendments to the Act.
Mr Wilson is also an active participant in the wider retirement living industry and regularly speaks at industry conferences. His areas of legal expertise cover major acquisitions and disposals of commercial real estate including the conduct of both seller and buyer due diligence; leasing of commercial and industrial property; creation of greenfield master planned communities, major urban renewal and government development projects; and retirement village due diligences, village and site acquisitions and disposals, structuring and start-ups, titling, scheme documentation, resident disputes, ongoing management and regulatory compliance.
