Si6 Metals is set to hit the ground running in Botswana as it builds on a developing program in southern Africa. Drilling is poised to kick off on the Maibele North nickel-copper project, where geophysical surveying has identified a deep electromagnetic target. The company is also seeking approval for drilling at the Monument gold project in WA after completing a $2 million placement.

ASX-listed base metals and gold play, Si6 Metals, has taken the plunge at its flagship Maibele North nickel-copper project in Botswana with a diamond drill hole boring day and night on an exploration voyage down to more than 500m depth in the hunt for nickel sulphide mineralisation.

Si6 Metals looks set to stock up Santa’s sack with a mass of gold-rich results following first-pass exploration across the company’s Monument project in WA. High-grade grab samples from the project returned assays of over an ounce per tonne gold, setting the scene for a move into drilling early in the new year.

ASX-listed base metals and gold play, Si6 Metals has identified a string of polymetallic anomalies at its flagship Maibele North project in Botswana while the company’s deep diamond drill hole continues its journey to approximately 550 metres depth targeting nickel sulphide mineralisation.

Si6 Metals has kicked off an RC drilling program at its Monument gold project about 40km west of Laverton in WA following an encouraging reconnaissance rock chip sampling program. The latter returned several high-grade values including 39.3 g/t gold, 25.8 g/t, 21.3 g/t and 13.15 g/t from the Fred’s Well prospect, and 21.5 g/t, 15.15 g/t, 15.15 g/t and 10 g/t at the Perseverance prospect.

Si6 Metals has followed up historic drilling at its Maibele Project in Botswana, with new results successfully expanding a sulphide-hosting horizon identified back in 2014 by more than 60 metres. The company has returned to the Maibele after seven years and looks set to write its own chapter in the history of exploration at the project.

Initial results from recently completed drilling have returned significant gold, with a stand-out intercept of 6m grading 3.15 g/t gold from 95m depth leading the pack. Si6 Metals appears to have locked onto extensions of its Maibele nickel deposit in Botswana, with drilling 200 metres along strike from the known resource intersecting massive sulphide stringers that returned anomalous assays of both nickel and copper mineralisation. Diamond drilling is testing a new, recently identified hanging-wall sulphide lode, which lies around 200 metres to the south-east of the existing Maibele North deposit.

Si6 Metals has wrapped up another bundle of solid gold hits from drilling at two key prospects at its Monument gold project in WA. Notable intersections from the recent drilling at the Korong prospect included 5m going 2.56 g/t gold from 124m and 5m at 2.03 g/t from 60m, while Waihi chimed in with 4m at 5.89 g/t from 62m and 3m at 2.45 g/t from 113m.

ASX-listed explorer, Si6 Metals has successfully applied for exploration co-funding of $75,000 under the WA Department of Mines’ Exploration Incentive Scheme. The company says the funds will go towards a planned regional aircore drilling program targeting bulk-tonnage, syenite or intrusive igneous rock-hosted gold mineralisation at its Monument gold project within the Laverton Tectonic Zone.

ASX-listed Si6 Metals has defined a 2.5km-long geophysical anomaly coinciding with shallow historical drilled copper-silver mineralisation at its 60 per cent owned Dibete prospect in Botswana. The past drill hits included 38m at 1.72 per cent copper and 119.5 grams per tonne silver. Si6 Metals is looking to pin-point base and precious metal targets for drill-testing.

Si6 Metals has identified numerous targets for drill testing along three newly confirmed geophysical anomalies at its Airstrip copper-silver prospect in eastern Botswana. Si6 Metals has completed the purchase of its Monument gold project west of Laverton in Western Australia. The company sealed the deal by exercising its option over the project and making a final payment of just $400,000 in cash and shares to the previous owner of the project, the Tim Goyder-backed explorer DiscoverEx.

Si6 Metals has secured an aircore rig for a forthcoming drilling program at its Monument gold project about 40km west of Laverton in WA as it looks to build on its existing 150,000-ounce-plus resource position in the prolific Laverton gold district in the North-Eastern Goldfields. The company says it expects to kick off the 125-hole regional program totalling about 5,000m by the end of this month.

Si6 Metals wasted no time smashing through 4,198m of government co-funded drilling at its Monument gold project in Laverton where 50 per cent of direct billing costs, up to $75,000 will be reimbursed to Si6 by the WA Government. Of the 126 holes drilled, 50 holes intersected the targeted high-level felsic intrusive rock suite analogous to the seven million ounce Wallaby Gold Deposit, also in the Laverton Tectonic Zone.

Results delivered from the Dibete prospect pointed to numerous untested anomalies that lie along strike and underneath known mineralisation consistent with a “Messina Copper” style mineralisation.

The company is utilising a variety of ground geophysical techniques designed to target deeper mineralisation that it plans to test with RC and diamond drilling once required approvals are in place.

Si6 Metals has unearthed promising hints of gold from an air core drilling blitz across a plethora of underexplored targets at its Monument gold project. The company is on the hunt for bulk-tonnage, syenite or ‘intrusive’ igneous rock-hosted gold mineralisation similar in style to the geological setting hosting Gold Field’s nearby seven-million-ounce Wallaby gold deposit, also in the Laverton Tectonic Zone in Western Australia.

Si6 Metals has kicked off a regional exploration program across its 100 per cent owned Botswanan base and precious metals assets. The program will include rock and soil sampling in addition to geological mapping and aims to define targets for further exploration. The regional exploration will start at prospects along strike from an existing advanced resource of 2.36Mt at 0.72 per cent nickel and 0.21 per cent copper.

Mineral explorer Si6 Metals has completed its second phase of air core drilling at its wholly-owned Monument gold project in WA’s Laverton gold district. The 6000m program tested five prospect areas and was designed to follow up on successful drilling from a first phase completed late last year. The campaign encountered a wide range of prospective rocks with assays now pending.

ASX-listed Si6 Metals has engaged monitoring platform Socialsuite to streamline the explorer’s disclosure and reporting process for its recently adopted environmental, social and governance, or “ESG” framework. The company says there are increasing expectations on mining and exploration companies to improve ESG performance and believes the framework outlined by the World Economic Forum is the most appropriate for the explorer.
