Lonely at the top for WA’s female directors
IF you were a woman on the board of any of Western Australia's top 100 ASX-listed companies, you'd be in rare company.
Patricia Cross has extensive international financial and banking experience, through senior executive roles with Chase Manhattan Bank and Chase Investment Bank, Banque Nationale de Paris and National Australia Bank where she was responsible for the Wholesale Banking and Finance Division and a member of the Executive Committee. She has lived and worked in seven different countries. Mrs Cross served on a number of listed company boards including National Australia Bank, JBWere, Qantas Airways, Wesfarmers, AMP, and Suncorp-Metway. She was chair of Qantas Superannuation and deputy chair of the Transport Accident Commission of Victoria. Mrs Cross also served on many government bodies and not-for-profit organisations. She is a director of Aviva, founding chair of the 30% Club Australia, and chair of the Commonwealth Superannuation Corporation. She is also an Australian Indigenous Education Foundation ambassador.
