Juukan owners 'angry' with govt response
The federal government has won praise for its response to an inquiry into the Juukan Gorge destruction but been panned by the group at the centre of the issue.
Pat Conaghan is an Australian politician and a member of the National Party, representing the Division of Cowper in New South Wales since 2019.
In June 2022, following the Liberal Party's defeat at the federal election, Mr Conaghan became the Assistant Shadow Minister for Social Services & Prevention of Family Violence in the Dutton shadow ministry.
Prior to entering politics, Mr Conaghan was a police officer in Kempsey before being transferred to Sydney as a detective, and later as a police prosecutor. After departing law enforcement, he became a lawyer and established his own practice, Conaghan Lawyers, specialising in criminal defence.
