Nicole Levy

Nicole Levy has been practising insurance law since 2000, working primarily in the fields of general insurance, worker’s compensation and public liability. During this time, she has successfully defended hundreds of claims in those fields as well as many personal injury and property damage claims on behalf of numerous major insurers. Ms Levy regularly provides across-the-board advice to insurers and insureds on issues associated with indemnity liability and quantum, along with complex advice to brokers and companies on contractual and insurance requirements to specific projects. She has also advised on, and defended, claims made on the basis of state and/or federal legislation including the Workers’ Compensation and Injury Management Act 1981 (WA), Occupier’s Liability Act 1985 (WA), Insurance Contracts Act 1984 (Cth), Motor Vehicle (Third Party Insurance) Act 1943 (WA) and the Fatal Accident’s Act 1959 (WA). Ms Levy has a proven track record of success in settlement negotiations at all levels, from informal discussions to attendances at informal conferences and court mediated conferences. She advocates for early and commercial resolution where it is in the best interests of her client.
