Nick Goiran is a Liberal Party member of the Legislative Council for the South Metropolitan Region.
Mr Goiran was appointed Shadow Minister for Child Protection; Prevention of Family & Domestic Violence under Liza Harvey's Shadow Cabinet in 2019. Following the 2021 WA state elections, Mr Goiran became the Shadow Attorney-General and the Shadow Minister for child protection and industrial relations. In February 2023, following the succession of Libby Mettam as leader of the WA Liberal Party, Mr Goiran was stripped of all portfolios and remains a backbencher.
Sydney-born, after completing studies at Murdoch University, Mr Goiran became a barrister and solicitor of the WA Supreme Court in 2000. He later switched to politics and was first elected in 2008 for a term commencing in 2009. He was later re-elected for a second term commencing 2013.
