Neil Hooper grew up on the family farm in Merredin before heading to Perth for university studies where he graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce in 1988. He worked as an accountant in Perth but returned to Merredin in 1992 and joined Byfields Business Advisers. He has been servicing farmer clients since that time. He then transferred to Byfields' Perth office in 2006 and continues to service predominately farmer clients from Geraldton to Esperance. Mr Hooper became a director of Byfields in 1996 and has a passion for the farming industry especially in relation to succession planning. He is a Certified Practising Accountant as well as a Chartered Accountant. Mr Hooper has been involved in numerous community and sporting organisations in the past and provides financial counselling to cancer patients via the Cancer Council of WA on a pro bono basis.
