Sustainability a design standout
Attention to environmental impact was a theme across several of the winners of this year’s Architecture Awards.
Neil Appleton has over 30 years of experience in delivering highly complex, large scale public and private sector projects.
He has been a judge and chair of numerous Australian Institute of Architects’ awards, and is a visiting lecturer and critic in Design at RMIT University.
Mr Appleton has been with architectural firm Lyons since May 1997, as a design director and practice executive. He has led several award winning projects, including the design of Perth’s $70m Yagan Square.
Mr Appleton holds a Masters of Architecture and a Bachelor of Architecture (First Class Honours) from RMIT University, and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Architects.
