Murray McHenry OAM is a serial entrepreneur and prominent football administrator. He has bought, run and sold multiple businesses including hotels (notably Steve's Nedlands Park Hotel), HiscoNFE hospitality and kitchen supplies, liquor stores and catering companies.
Mr McHenry was a football administrator for more than 20 years, as chair of the WA Football Commission and the West Coast Eagles. Mr McHenry was awarded life membership at West Coast Eagles in 1999.
He represented WA in rowing at the Kings Cup, and coached the Australian FISA Coxed Four at the 1980 World Championships.
Mr McHenry has been involved in wine making in the Margaret River region since 1984 and was a founding director of McHenry Hohnen Vintners.
In 2021, Mr McHenry won the Western Australian of the Year's Sport Award. In June 2022, Mr McHenry was awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia for his service to the hospitality industry, and to sport.
