Murray Chatfield

Murray Chatfield has 30 years of finance experience within investment banking, hedge funds and corporate finance in Australia and internationally. His career covers finance, treasury, accounting, operational efficiency, risk management (business, market, tax and regulatory), legal and regulatory compliance, and direct financial market interaction.

Mr Chatfield was a senior economist with the New Zealand government before joining Bankers Trust in London. He then moved into hedge funds, initially as European treasurer and then as a partner and chief operating officer in a Relative Value Hedge Fund. He was also the chief operating officer and partner of an Australian-based fund focussed on global macro events.
