Monique Douglas is the executive director of Propel Youth Arts WA and manages its performance, funding, sponsorship and strategy. Established in 2003, Propel is a membership-based, not-for-profit organisation that provides a range of programs and services across all art forms. Ms Douglas has a strong background in Arts Management and has worked at a management level at Deckchair Theatre and Youth Ballet WA, as well as Australian Dance Theatre, Quantum Leap and the Awesome Festival. Before completing her degree in Arts Management at the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts, Ms Douglas was a professional classical ballet dancer. She performed in Germany, Russia and across Australia for a variety of companies including the Bayerishes Staatsoper Ballett and the Tasmanian Classical Ballet Company.
