Utsler on WASO board
Woodside Petroleum chief operations officer Michael Utsler has been appointed to the WA Symphony Orchestra board of directors.

Mike Utsler is an oil and gas executive with over 40 years of experience in senior international oil and gas sector roles, including 15 years in the Gulf of Mexico and 5 years as chief operating officer of Woodside in Australia. Mr Utsler joined Woodside in late 2013 from BP, after a 35-year career which included leading the Alaska and North Sea assets and leading the Gulf Recovery Operation following the Deepwater Horizon incident.
He became chief executive and managing director of Otto Energy in September 2020, and is based in Houston. He was subsequently appointed executive chair in November 2020.
Mr Utsler has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Oklahoma.
