Michael Schneider has been the managing director of Bunnings Group since May 2017 following his role as managing director for Australia and New Zealand in February 2016. Prior to that, he had led the store operations teams across Bunnings Australia and New Zealand, since joining Bunnings in 2005.
Before joining Bunnings, Mr Schneider held a range of senior operational, commercial and human resource roles across regional and national markets, both in retail and financial services businesses. After six years with Westpac, rising from a branch manager to be state manager, small business markets, Mr Schneider then spent four years in operations and HR roles for The Warehouse Group.
Mr Schneider holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of NSW and has completed the Advanced Management Program at INSEAD, and the Advanced Strategic Management Program at IMD.
