Mike Deeks was a Western Australia Government advisor and marine & defence industry strategist at the Department of Industry and Resources, and served 32 years in the Royal Australian Navy retiring in the rank of Commodore.
Prior to becoming the group managing director of Blue Ocean Monitoring in September 2021, Mr Deeks was the Agent General for Western Australia in the United Kingdom & Europe region from July 2018 to June 2021, managing director of Forgacs Marine and Defence (a subsidiary of Civmec) for over 2 years, general manager of defence at Civmec, and the WA Site Executive for Raytheon Australia where he was responsible for all Western Australian operations
Mr Deeks was also a non-executive director of Pilbara Ports Authority and the former Dampier Port Authority, a member of the State Training Board, deputy chair of Challenger Institute Governing Council, and executive chair of Nautronix.
