Mike Baird AO is an Australian investment banker and former politician.
Mr Baird was the 44th Premier of New South Wales, the Minister for Infrastructure, the Minister for Western Sydney, and the Leader of the New South Wales Liberal Party from April 2014 to January 2017. He stepped down and resigned as Premier and member for Manly in January 2017.
Post-politics, Mr Baird was the chief customer officer of National Australia Bank prior to becoming the chief executive of HammondCare, a Christian aged care provider of palliative and dementia care, in June 2020.
Mr Baird holds a Bachelor of Arts (Economics) from the University of Sydney, a Diploma in Christian Studies from Regent College in Vancouver, and has completed Executive Management courses at Harvard and Duke University.
In June 2020, he was awarded an Officer of the Order of Australia for distinguished service to the people and Parliament of New South Wales, particularly as Premier, and to the community.
