Mick Wilkes is a mining engineer with over 35 years of international experience, predominantly in precious and base metals across Asia and Australia. He specialised in project development, construction and operations throughout his career.
Mr Wilkes was the president and chief executive of OceanaGold Corporation for over 9 years, executive general manager of operations at OZ Minerals for 2 years, and over 10 years in various project development roles in Papua New Guinea.
Mr Wilkes holds a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Queensland, a Master of Business Administration from Deakin University, and is a member of the Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
