Mick McCormack has over 35 years of experience in the energy infrastructure sector in Australia, and his career has encompassed all aspects of the sector including commercial development, design, construction, operation and management of most of Australia’s natural gas pipelines and gas distribution systems. His experience extends to gas-fired and renewable energy power generation.
Mr McCormack was the chief executive and managing director of APA Group until his retirement in July 2019. He has been with APA Group since 2000, initially as a general manager of commercial before becoming chief operating officer in 2004, chief executive & managing director in 2005.
Mr McCormack was a director of Envestra (now Australian Gas Networks), the Australian Pipeline Industry Association (now Australian Pipelines and Gas Association), and the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra.
