Changing of the guard at IR firms
With multiple changes at the top of WA’s leading investor relations firms, we review their performance and strategies.
Michael Vaughan
Executive Director / Fivemark
Michael Vaughan has over 15 years of experience in providing investor relations, media relations and communications advice to mining companies and working in senior positions within the Australian resources business media.
He has longstanding media relationships, extensive experience representing mining companies within investment markets (particularly in high-profile M&A deals), and a strong grounding in corporate governance and ASX regulations applicable to the mining industry.
Mr Vaughan has been an executive director of Fivemark Partners since July 2015. Prior to that, he was a director of investor relations at Cannings Purple, vice president of capital markets at FTI Consulting, and a resources editor of the Australian Financial Review.
Mr Vaughan holds a Bachelor of Economics at the University of Western Australia, a Graduate Diploma in Journalism at Murdoch University, and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Corporate Governance from the Governance Institute of Australia.
