WA lags in state government role
Western Australia’s universities have called on the State Government to take a more strategic role in guiding and supporting development of the sector.
Michael Henderson is the founder and chair of the International Skills & Training Institute in Health, a member of CSIRO’s Digital Productivity & Services Flagship Advisory Committee, a member of the WA State Training Board - Scenario Working Group, board member of the WA Ballet and Cancer Council WA, and the inaugural chair of the international World Masters Hockey (WMH) Medical Advisory Committee.
He is also the founder of global acute medicine organisation Emergency Triage Services; professorial Fellow in the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences at the University of WA; and was formerly the president of Hockey WA and Adjunct Professor in the Faculty of Law, Business & Information Technology at Murdoch University.
Mr Henderson was the 2011 Ernst & Young Social Entrepreneur of the Year.
